Virtual Enterprise Business Program | K24B

Virtual Enterprise Business Program | K24B

Virtual Enterprise (VE) replicates all the functions of real businesses in both structure and practice. Under the guidance of a teacher-facilitator and business mentors, students create and manage their virtual businesses from product development, production and distribution to marketing, sales, human resources, accounting/finance and web design. VE firms offer diverse products and services—from banking, insurance, and technology to publishing, advertising, app creation, tourism, and fashion.

Abraham Lincoln High School: Virtual Enterprise (K24B)

VE Program

The New York City branch of Virtual Enterprises International is the headquarters to over 35 schools across all five boroughs following the VE business curriculum. The sequence, which exposes students to several levels of business education, is as follows:

  • 9th Grade:  Writing & Presenting for Business
  • 10th Grade: Math Excel
  • 11th Grade: Entrepreneurship
  • 12th Grade: Virtual Enterprises

Through the VE program, students develop vital skills that place them ahead of the curve when they enter college and the workforce. Such skills include Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, professional writing, business research, speech communications, finance, marketing, sales, and much more. Students in the VE program gain access to numerous opportunities and events -- local, national, and even international -- to practice their business knowledge, such as the Business Plan Competition, the Global Enterprise Challenge, the Trade Show, and the Commercial Competition.
