The College Office

The mission of the College Office is to help students realize their ambitions, plan for their futures and guide them through the college application process. We want our students to have the tools to make educated decisions that will enable them to be successful in their post secondary lives.

The College Office Provides Access to:

  1. Fee waivers for:SAT/ACT/ NCAA and College applications 

  2. Naviance and College Applications 

  3. Advisement to juniors and seniors on college and career 

  4. Information on upcoming College Visits and college related events

  5. Information on FAFSA and financial aid

  6. Information on Scholarships for college including POSSE and Questbridge 

  7. Assistance with interviewing, college essay/personal statement and resumes

  8. Special programs for target groups such as ALEAP and Trailblazers

  • Please look for your appointment slip, which will be delivered to you, and contact Ms. Danielle Procida for rescheduling.

  • Note: YOU MUST LINK YOUR COMMON APPLICATION TO NAVIANCE IN ORDER FOR US TO SEND YOUR DOCUMENTS!

    Junior College Workshops take place once a month during the E6 English classes with Mrs. Kelly, Ms. Johnson and Ms. Ramos:

    February- Welcome to Naviance and Postsecondary Plans

    March- Resume Building

    April- College Supermatch

    May- Common Application

    Additionally, appointments to meet with Mrs. Kelly, Ms. Johnson, Ms. Jean and Ms. Ramos are ongoing.  Look out for your appointment slip! It will be delivered to you.

    PARENTS!  Come for a MORNING of college information! Learn about the application process, financial aid and how Naviance can help you and your child! Refreshments will be served.

  • FAFSA Filing Dinner for parents! RESCHEDULED FOR APRIL 18TH!!!

    Complete your FAFSA with assistance and sustenance-RESCHEDULED FOR APRIL 18TH 5:30pm-7:30pm in the ALHS library.

    PLEASE CREATE AN FSA ID FOR PARENT AND CHILD BEFORE THE EVENT!

    The following documents must be brought with you on the night of the FAFSA Filing Dinner:
    FSA ID log on information, Social Security numbers (parent and child), Alien Registration number (for non-citizens), 1040 tax return form for 2022, Parent birth dates, marriage dates, divorce dates (if applicable)
